This 1936 Bacci lathe commissioned in Milan Italy was built to produce Mauser stocks for Germany and supplied the Nazi’s with rifles for WWII. It ended up in New Orleans and eventually was obtained by Bundy and Company's American Folk Art artist John Bundy and is used to hand craft his famous decoy ducks. It is one of only three known to be left. So, a piece of equipment built nearly a century ago to feed the effort of the Third Reich, is now used to hand craft original American Folk Art. See less
